The Town of Rome is accepting applications for the position of Municipal Court Judge to fill a vacancy in the elected position, for the reminder of a term expiring April 30, 2020.  The Municipal Court Judge oversees the Town’s Municipal Court and works with the Municipal Court Clerk to maintain a professional, efficient and effective court operation.  The Municipal Judge has the power and duties as provided for in Chapters 755 and 800, Wis. Stats.

Basic qualifications require a demonstrated ability to apply the law fairly and impartially.  Residency in the Town of Rome is required. Letters of interest and resumes will be accepted until Friday, January 18, 2019 at 4:30 PM at the Town Hall, located at 1156 Alpine Drive.  Submitted materials should be addressed to the Town Board and delivered or mailed to the attention of the Town Administrator Jami Gebert.

The Board will set a date and time to hold open interviews, and may select a person to fill the open position.
