Rome, WI (November 16, 2020) – To further prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Town of Rome Municipal Building, Police Department and Rome Water Utility will be closed to the public, except by appointment, beginning Friday, November 20, 2020, until further notice.
Town staff will be available by phone or by appointment for assistance. Visit www.romewi.com and click on Departments for a listing of staff, phone numbers, and emails. There is a 24/7 drop box available in the Town Hall vestibule to exchange any needed correspondence to staff or departments.
The Transfer Site operations will remain uninterrupted and is open 9 AM to 4 PM on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The 6’ social distance must be maintained throughout the site and masks are encouraged.
Due to the advance notice needed for the meeting, the Town’s Annual Budget Hearing and Special Town Meeting scheduled for November 19, 2020, at 6 PM will still occur. Masks and social distancing will be required at the meeting. Town Board Meetings will decrease to one per month from December to March and public is encouraged to participate by Webex, which is posted at the top of every agenda.
