Rome, WI (March 17, 2021) – The Town of Rome will begin a phased reopening of offices and facilities beginning April 19, 2021. Please see the below schedule:
· April 19, 2021 – Town Hall, Police Department and Water Utility offices will reopen for regular Town-related business. The Community Room will remain closed, except for regular Town meetings.
· May 17, 2021 – The Town Hall Community Room will reopen to groups of 10 or less.
· August 16, 2021 – The Town Hall Board Room will reopen and regular Town meetings will move from the Community Room into the Town Board room. Additionally, groups of 25 or less will be able to use the Community Room.
· November 15, 2021 – Town Hall & all facilities will return to normal use.
Please note if renting the Community Room for a gathering the same guidelines above are in place. The 6’ social distance must be maintained throughout the Town Hall and masks are required. While the CDC has provided guidance that masks can be removed for small gathering of people who are all vaccinated, the Town Hall and Community Room are utilized by a large variety of individuals, several of whom have not been vaccinated to date. While using the common spaces of the Town Hall, masks are required.
The Town will continue a virtual Webex option for attendance at regular Town meetings through November, 2021. Webex information is posted at the top of every Town meeting agenda.
